ACTHA RIDE - May 22, 2010There is an official ACTHA ride scheduled for Saturday, May 22, 2010. Check back for details LIVE MUSIC SUNDAY EVENING - May 30, 2010The band FINAL NOTICE will be entertaining Sunday, May 30 from 8 PM til 11 PM. Our riding fees for Saturday, May 29 and Sunday, May 30 will be raised to $15 to help pay for the entertainment. FINAL NOTICE is a top notch rock and roll band. HUNT PACE / POKER RIDE HOSTED BY CAVALLO CREEK - June 05, 2010Cavallo Creek plans to host a hunt pace / poker ride on June 5, 2010 with a rain date of June 6. Check back for details. MARSHAL COUNTY SADDLE CLUB - July 10, 2010The Marshal Co. saddle club has scheduled a ride/drive at York Hills the weekend of July 10-11, 2010 COMPETITIVE MOUNTED ORIENTEERING - August 13, 2010Competitive mounted orienteering is like a mounted treasure hunt which tests your horsemanship, map reading ability and your compass skills-all while riding your horse! The object of the sport is to ride out as an individual or team on a prescribed course and find as many of the hidden Objective Stations as you can and get back to camp in the least amount of time, on either a ten station long or 5 station short course. The short course is much smaller and is oriented towards families, riders wishing a less competitive event, training of new horses and new riders looking to check out the CMO fun. A short trainng session will be provided for anyone new to the sport. A Silva compass (which can be purchased from a camping store or Walmart for about $10) will be necessary-however, several compasses will be available for loan. This is the most fun you will have trail riding on your horse-come out and join us for a great weekend!! For more information please see website www.nacmo.org. The CMO this year will be a two day event, with riders getting the chance to compete on both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday night will feature a potluck dinner and pleanty of fellowship. Check back for details. 4TH ANNUAL PUMPKIN PACE - October 16, 2010The 4th annual Pumpkin Pace will be held Saturday, October 16, 2010 with a rain date of Sunday, October 17, 2010. A "hunt pace" is a competitive event approximating the conditions of a hunt field and to test the rider's judgement of a "hunting pace". Riders go out in pairs or teams of three and follow a trail marked with ribbons throughout the countryside. More details will follow. Event coordinated by United States Pony Club organizations.
